Then I spraypainted them with three different coloured cans in order to create an effect.
KC, 2nd Year ceramics BA, CSM wanted to experiment with overlaying glazes. Here a white over an orange making a bubble effect. The two handles are representing the legs of the locust
Here you can see better the stamps and the holes made by the “locusts”. The idea was to work on the traces left by the locust, the liquid traces are conveyed by the glazes, and the marks on plants etc by the stamps.
I did it outside my house and it rained on it, I love the effect of the raindrops. I painted the eyes black.
First the locust were 3D printed
Then we used a polysterene base and covered it with fluffy texture, reminding the african wheat burnt grass.
